A trip back to the fabric market

As Anna says, it's easy to get trapped in a vicious cycle when you're having custom clothes made. Each time you go back to pick-up the finished product, you are tempted into new purchases that will require another journey to the market the following week.

Well, we broke the cycle today! Just grabbed our goods and ran. On the bicycle ride back to the apartment, we passed a building with some cool rounded windows.

Humidified

A friend said Sierra and I should be quarantined from one another.  We seem to be passing colds back and forth.  Sierra's marinating in the mist of our new humidifier for any edge in getting over her cold.

We went out today regardless.  It's very common for people to hang their clothes outside to dry here. On one stretch of sidewalk, we were dodging underwear just to make it down the block.  I thought it was too funny so Sierra snapped a pick of me grinning next to someone's delicates.

We went out with Linda and Ivan.  Linda is being told she can't pick through the strawberries as Ivan stands back and watches.  There is no shortage of fruit stands here.

It was a clear day today.  The Shanghai World Financial Center towers beyond the grit and grime.

Birthday Jenga

The bar we went to last night for my impending b-day had a tub of
Jenga blocks with actions to do written on them. The "hi five a
stranger" block naturally reminded me of Stevie-B.
